Our Bees feed on the Best Wildflowers

Our bees have their own bee pasture full of wildflowers. The flowers that attract each bee partly depends on the fragrance of that flower. Also, we have to consider if bees are attracted to certain colors. Bees cannot see red, but can see yellows and blues. Our honey is derived from a variety of wildflowers and plants which are blooming during the summer months.  Our honey has a delightful taste and a great all around honey to use.

Details to come.

Entomophily or bee pollination is where pollen of flowering plants, is distributed by bees. Flowers pollinated by bees typically advertise themselves with bright colours, sometimes with conspicuous patterns (honey guides) leading to rewards of pollen and nectar.

The Italian honey bee is thought to originate from the continental part of Italy, south of the Alps, and north of Sicily. It is the most widely distributed of all honey bees, and has proven adaptable to most climates from subtropical to cool temperate.

Pollination

When it comes to beneficial honey varieties, few are as interesting as wildflower honey, which contains quite an impressive amount of nutrients and potential health benefits for those who regularly consume it.
